MUSIC LESSONS PARENT AGREEMENT

If you wish your child to take music lessons for the academic year 2022/2023

Please read and confirm you agree to the following terms and conditions.

 

• Music lessons will be delivered during the school day.
• Students will be involved in ensemble music lessons each term to allow them to play in a ‘band’ group with other children.  These groupings will be tailored to suit the playing ability of each child, and supported by their music teacher.
• Music teachers will attend public performances throughout the year to support their students.
• Lessons will be taught by specialist music teachers.
• Lessons will not be refunded due to pupil absence due to holidays, illness or injury.  Please note will always attempt to make up missed sessions over the academic year if time permits.
• It is the student’s responsibility to attend their lessons each week.  Timetables will be distributed to schools, and class teachers. Children will be collected from their class if necessary.
• In order to reach their full potential, students will be encouraged to practice weekly
• Instruments will be provided for all lessons to be used in school.
• Students will have the opportunity to participate in a music rewards scheme.
• Formal examinations can be sat when appropriate and with the permission of parents. (There is an additional cost if students wish to sit formal examinations).  These are not compulsory.

 

Cancellation policy – We require 4 weeks notice to cancel a lesson booking.  If you wish to cancel your lessons, please email us giving 4 weeks notice.  Once your cancellation request has been acknowledged, please cancel your regular standing order payment.  Should any fees be owed to Songbird Music these will need to be settled via bank transfer.  If fees are owed from Songbird Music, these will be refunded to you.

 

Fees are payable monthly via standing order.  Fees will be spread order over a 11 month period from, 1st August – 1st  July inclusive.  Payment for lessons is £25.00 per month due on the 1st of each month from August 1st – July 1^st inclusive.

Please ensure a standing order has been set up at the time of booking, with first payment due 1^st August 2022.  Payment of £25.00 will be due on the 1^st of each month 1^st August – 1^st July inclusive. Lessons will commence week starting 12^th September.
